Brahmastra’s song ‘Kesariya’ to be out on July 17, fans excited for full version release

The song sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam will release under the banner of Sony Music India.

New Delhi: Dharma Productions has announced the release of the awaited song, ‘Kesariya’. Fans are excited as the song from Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra- Part One: Shiva’ is set to release on July 17. The song sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam will release under the banner of Sony Music India.

The filmmakers released a teaser of the song along with stills featuring the lead cast Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The video also showed comments from the fans asking for the full version of the song. According to some reports, the song was to release on July 15, but eventually, the release date has been revised to July 17, which is a Sunday.

The Telugu version of the song is known as ‘Kumkumala’ and is sung by popular singer Sid Sriram. Sid Sriram is known for ‘Srivalli’ from Pushpa, ‘Kadalalle’ from Dear Comrade, ‘Kannaana Kanney’ and many other hit songs.

Netizens have flooded Twitter with their reactions to the announcement. Fans are showing their excitement for the song as #Kesariya is trending on the internet.

A fan made a unique gesture by saying that the government has announced July 17 as ‘Kesariya Day’.

Singer Arijit Singh’s fans, who refer to themselves as ‘Arijitians’ are trending #ArijitSingh on Twitter.

The lyrics for the song are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the trio Arijit-Pritam-Amitabh has given several hit songs like ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Gerua’.

The director of the film shared a heartfelt note on Instagram thanking Pritam and writing about the ‘music journey’ of the film.

‘Brahmastra- Part 1: Shiva’ features a star-studded cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. The film also features a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Brahmastra’ will release in theatres on September 9.
