Chaitra Kotoor, actress & ex-Bigg Boss contestant attempts suicide

New Delhi: Actress and former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Chaitra Kotoor allegedly attempted suicide at her residence in Karnataka on April 8. According to police, the actress attempted suicide by consuming phenyl at her residence.

The actress was rushed to the hospital, where she is said to be stable.

Last month she got married to Nagarjuna, a Mandya-based businessman. The picture from their wedding had gone viral, the marriage took place in the Byatarayanapura Ganapathi temple at Kitturu.

Police officials said that after Nagarjuna’s family refused to accept their relationship then the marriage was called off. Nagarjuna reportedly said that  said that he was least interested in marrying Chaitra but some groups forced him t do so. And in the end, he claimed that it was a forceful marriage that took place due to some threats.

Further, it was revealed that they both were in a relationship for the past few years. After the matter reached Kolar police station, police called both of the families to give their statements.

Nagarjuna’s family accused Chaitra of ‘forceful marriage’

Also, it was claimed that Nagarjuna’s family restricted Chaitra to enter their house because they considered the marriage invalid.

A scriptwriter for TV serials, Chaitra has acted in Haripriya’s Soojidaara as a supporting role. Chaitra was also a part of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 7 hosted by Kiccha Sudeep, along with her there were 17 other celebrity contestants. Unfortunately, she couldn’t win the show.
