Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Twitter Review: Bodybuilder’s love for trans woman breaks stereotypes, intensively entertains

Netizens are once again in awe of Ayushmann starrer for its comic scenes, drama and the social message that it delivers.

New Delhi: Ace film maker Abhishek Kapoor directorial ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ marks the first ever collaboration of actor  Ayushmann Khurana and Vaani Kapoor.

The comedy drama, which happen to be the first Indian film to complete its entire shooting during the coronavirus pandemic, wrapped up its shoot in December last year.

The plot of the film revolves around Ayushmann’s character Manu Munjal, a weightlifting champion and fitness trainer in Chandigarh, who falls in love with Maanvi Brar, the new Zumba instructor at his gym, essayed by Vaani. Things go awry when Manu proposes to Maanvi, who reportedly reveals she is transgender.

‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ hit the theatres on December 10, and has garnered over-whelming early response on social media.

Netizens are once again in awe of Ayushmann starrer for its comic scenes and drama, while also hailing the film for breaking stereotypes and the social message that it delivers.
