New Delhi: Sonakshi Sinha is back on the silver screen, this time in form a ‘Lady Dabangg’ cop, who is on a mission to nab a serial killer. The Dabangg girl of Bollywood will set your pulses racing with her fierce & forceful role as a woman cop.

The trailer of Sonakshi starrer flick ‘Dahaad’ was released today and the movie hopes to see a roaring business on the Box Office, on back of scintillating performance by the actress.

The trailer gives a peek into the story & role of Sonakshi Sinha, as a fierce police officer who is unstoppable and is on a mission to trace 27 missing girls.

Dahaad, a web series, is heading for release on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video on May 12.

The web series describes the story of 27 girls who go missing under mysterious circumstances and then commit suicide. It’s only after the mysterious suicides by 27 girls, the investigation begins in the ‘suicide saga’.

Sonakshi, the lady Dabangg launches big hunt for main suspect Vijay Varma, a college lecturer cum family person. Though, his credentials are of an educated person but Sonkashi looks convinced about his wicked network and continues her chase & probe.

Vijay Varma plays the antagonist in the upcoming web series. Having played an abusive husband in Darlings, he is the dark character in this series also. He entices girls with his demeanor and then makes them kill herself.

‘Dahaad’ trailer launch also saw presence of a special guest – Dr Meeran Chadha Borwarkar, Retd IPS officer. She is the former top cop of Maharashtra who served in the IPS service from 1981 to 2017.

The Retd officer was all praise for the portrayal of Sokashi’s character and also appreciated how she cracks cases with her astute mind & sound reasoning.

“Currently, we have 11% women in our forces, I hope to see the numbers rise to 40%. Our administrative services have seen huge change as earlier female officers were only assigned cases related to crime against women but now it has changed, women are leading from the front in a lot of high profile cases.”
