Deepika Padukone tests positive for Covid-19; Family members also contracted the virus

Earlier today, it was reported that Deepika’s father, Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala, and sister Anisha, had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone has tested positive for Covid-19 including parents and sister. As per the Times Of India, Padukone is currently with her family in the southern state. She flew down last month with Singh.

Earlier today, it was reported that Deepika’s father, Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala, and sister Anisha, had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Her father has been admitted to Bengaluru’s Mahavir Jain hospital after he tested positive for COVID-19. Prakash had recently received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. He contracted the virus while he was waiting to take the second jab of the vaccine.  

Prakash Padukone has been recovering from the infection at a hospital in Bengaluru and is likely to be discharged later this week. “Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days,” Vimal Kumar, a close friend of the legendary shuttler had told PTI.

Depression is like any other illness, says Deepika Padukone

“They got themselves isolated but after a week Prakash’s fever didn’t come down, so last Saturday, he was admitted to a hospital here in Bengaluru. He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days,” he added.
