New Delhi: Karthick Naren’s directorial, Maaran has skipped its theatrical release owing to Covid-19 and premiered on Disney+Hotstar today, that is, March 11. The film was released at 5 PM. Revealing all details, the makers of the movie tweeted, “Pen is mightier than sword” comes true with #Maaran wielding one. #MaaranOnHotstar streaming from 5 pm tomorrow.”
The movie revolves around an investigative journalist Mathi Maaran, which is played by Dhanush. Maaran gets involved in trouble after he published a news article revealing the unpleasant truth of a renowned politician. The movie also stars Malavika Mohanan also plays a media professional in the film. Smruthi Venkat, Krishnakumar, and Mahendran also play pivotal roles in the action drama.

Dhanush being a versatile actor has a series of movies in his pipeline. He will be seen in Selvaraghavan’s Naane Varuven where he will be portraying a double role. Dhanush will also be a part of a Hollywood movie named The Gray Man. The film helmed by Anthony and Joe Russo will be based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Mark Greaney. The movie stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans as the lead.
He will also be acting on Venky Atluri’s social drama, Sir. The movie talks about a young man’s fight against the privatisation of the current education system.
