Doctor G trailer out: Ayushmann Khurrana strives to lose the ‘male touch’ as gynaecology student in upcoming entertainer

Only male student (Doctor G), played by Ayushmann Khurrana, is stuck in an all-female department and is asked to win his patients’ trust

New Delhi: The trailer for Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah starrer upcoming campus comedy is finally out!

Khurrana unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film, Doctor G, where he plays a reluctant gynaecology student. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Vineet Jain, the film is set to release in theatres on October 14.

About the film: 

Doctor G is a coming-of-age medical campus comic screenplay about the hysterical struggle of Dr Uday Gupta who wants to develop himself in orthopaedics but ended up in gynaecology. Only male gyno student (Doctor G), played by Ayushmann Khurrana, is stuck in an all-female department and is asked to lose his male touch to win his patients’ trust.

He also finds a mentor in his senior Dr. Nandini, played by Shefali Shah. Rakul Preet Singh is seen as his colleague and his cherish intrigued who revels in a bit of ragging after he closes up in gynecology as the only male student.

Ayushmann Khurrana shares Doctor G Trailor and wrote “Gynaecology department ki har ek naari, padegi #DoctorG pe bhaari! #DoctorG will attend to you in theatres from 14th October 2022 ??. #DoctorGTrailer out now!”

Director Anubhuti Kashyap said in a statement “The film addresses gender stereotypes in his personal and professional life enveloped in comedy and is something that will appeal to young-India”.
