New Delhi: Whenever someone pronounces Don, it’s either Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan that comes to our mind. The 1978 Don was the first movie that starred Amitabh Bachchan in the crime drama. Its sequels were made that starred Shah Rukh Khan in the role of Don. However, today Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram to post a picture that featured him and Shah Rukh Khan where the former is signing a giant poster of Don. He captioned the image as, “…. and … errr … continuing in the same vein .. DON.”

With Don 2, directed by Farhan Akhtar, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role released years back, fans have been eagerly waiting for Don 3. Amitabh Bachchan’s post today marked Don 3 trend on Twitter in no time, with fans being super excited. Moreover, fans are of the opinion that the two dons will be coming together in Don 3.

Some days ago, producer Ritesh Sidhwani took to social media and posted a picture from Farhan Akhtar’s study where the director-producer-actor was in his writer’s mode. Along with the picture, he mentioned how Farhan has started working on his next script. He wrote, “100% focus even when he’s putting pen to paper (err.. fingers to keyboard) @faroutakhtar is back in writer mode after a long hiatus. Guess what he’s working on…” This has left netizens to wonder whether Farhan has started working on Don 3.

Farhan Akhtar would be next directing Jee Le Zaara. However, recent reports suggest that the filming of the movie has been postponed to an indefinite period as the dates of the leads – Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif are not matched. Besides, Farhan will also be making a cameo appearance in Ms Marvel.
