New Delhi: Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are set to tie the knot with wedding preparations happening in full swing. The celebrations have already started with the Mehendi ceremony held on February 16. The bride and groom to be were seen driving off on Friday afternoon to Khandala for their wedding.
Reportedly, the wedding will be held on Saturday that is February 19 followed by a registered wedding on February 21. Shibani’s sister Anusha Dandekar was also seen entering Farhan’s house earlier today.

According to reports, Farhan Akhtar has kept a special performance in hand for his would-be wife, Shibani which he will be performing at the Sangeet ceremony. As per the reports of India Today, Farhan Akhtar has prepared a special song for his fiancée. Also, Anusha and Shibani’s friends have a special performance planned for her. Actress Rhea Chakraborty who is a close friend of the Dandekar sisters will also be performing.
Furthermore, Farhan and Shibani will have a simple wedding function in the presence of family members and close friends. The traditional wedding will be followed by a court marriage which will take place on Monday.
Reportedly, the Mehendi ceremony was held at Farhan’s Mumbai house and was attended by Shabana Azmi, Shibani’s sister Anusha Dandekar, Rhea Chakraborty, and Amrita Arora, among others.
Shibani and Farhan have been dating for four years now. Before this, Farhan was married to hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. However, the two parted ways in 2017.
In terms of work, Farhan will be seen his upcoming film named Jee Le Zaraa starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt.
