Here is why Karan Johar feels Bollywood will be lynched if it make movies like KGF

I feel we are also not given any kind of leeway and then we are trying to be somebody else

New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar is undoubtedly one of the best directors and filmmakers. He has worked in more than 25 films.

Karan Johar made his debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998. He has launched the careers of several successful actors under his own Dharma Productions.

He has been awarded several accolades, including a National Film Award and six Filmfare Awards, he has been honored with Padma Shri, the country’s fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India in 2020.

For a long decade, there has been a debate going on between South Industry and Bollywood Industry. Celebs and Film producer have their own viewpoint on this matter.

But Karan Johar is always vocal about what he feels taking to a feel companion Karan said, “When I read the reviews of KGF, I’m like if we made this, we would be lynched. But here, everybody is like ‘Oh it was a celebration, a party and it was. I loved it. I loved it with all my heart. But I feel hum yeh banaate to? (If we had made this, then?)”.

He further added, “It’s working both ways. I feel we are also not given any kind of leeway and then we are trying to be somebody else. So, we are all over the place. We are living a dual existence and we have to stop”.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker is gearing up for his film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, which features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The movie will hit the screens on February 2023. Apart from this Karan’s upcoming project ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ is all set to rock on the screen!
