New Delhi: Farhan Akhtar’s legendary ‘Don’ series is making a triumphant comeback but without the presence of superstar Shah Rukh Khan. On Twitter on August 8th, director Farhan Akhtar announced the third film in the Don series and revealed that a new actor will be playing the title role. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly set to take over SRK’s role in the Don franchise.

Ranveer Singh’s dashing first appearance in the role of Don has finally been released. Opening in an apartment amid a stunning metropolitan skyline, the teaser for “A New Era Begins #Don3” has Ranveer Singh’s voiceover saying, “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab…”

Ranveer Singh is poised to take on the role of this larger-than-life figure in one of the most anticipated action series because of his charisma, unquestionable ability, and knack for producing unforgettable performances.

Farhan Akhtar earlier wrote in an announcement on Twitter, “…The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope that you will show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.

A new era of Don begins in 2025. Watch this space.”
