Karan Johar calls ‘Animal’ best film of the year, says he became teary-eyed

New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar hailed the Sandeep Reddy’s film ‘Animal’ in a recent interview and termed it as the best film of the year. He also adds that the film deserves the success it received. The film was released on 1st December and did a bumper opening at the box office in the first week of its release. While speaking to Galatta Plus, the director shared his opinion about the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film.

Director Karan Johar showers all love for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film ‘Ánimal’, the director says that he had tears in his eyes after watching the film and the film truly deserves the success. He said that when he praised the film, people came to him and said you made ‘Rocky and Rani’ and that film is like a vaccination for a movie like Ánimal’. Responding to this the director said that i can’t disagree with you because i feel Ánimal’ is the best film of the year. Apart from ‘Animal’ he also like ‘Kabir Singh’, but during that time he didn’t express his feelings for the film. Showering praises for the director of the film, he said that “I saw the film twice. First, to see it as an audience, and second, to study it. I think the success of Animal and the acceptance and the film itself is game-changing.”

The film broke all the records at the box office and was loved by the audience. However the film was criticized by some critics and audience for its violence. The story of the film revolves around the relationship between a father and his son. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandana, Anil kapoor, Shakti kapoor and Tripti Dimri. The intimate scene between the actress Tripti Dimri and Ranbir Kapoor became a rage at the social media. The actress became an overnite crush after doing this intimate scene with the actor.
