New Delhi: Bollywood veteran actor Nana Patekar on Wednesday smacked a fan, who came rushing towards him to click a selfie. The incident happened reportedly during a film shoot in Varanasi and it was captured on camera. Soon after the slapping incident, the film crew took him away from the scene.

The video footage of Nana Patekar smacking a fan landed up on social media and went viral in no time. In the video, the actor could be seen whacking a fan as he reportedly intercepts the film shooting and tries to click a selfie with the actor.
The 11-second video is reportedly from Varanasi’s Dashashwamedh Ghat, where the actor is shooting for his next flick. While the actor is seen talking to public, the young boy springs up from behind, flashes his phone & tries to click a selfie. The actor agitated over sudden ‘intrusion’ hits the young boy on his head and the film crew quickly takes him away.
Notably, the veteran actor made a comeback to Hindi film cinema after almost six years, with Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Vaccine War’. He is currently shooting for Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma’s next film ‘Journey’.
The actor with many notable roles in blockbuster hit films like Kranti Veer, Welcome is facing criticism & condemnation on the social media for losing his temper and assaulting a fan in public.
Many advised the actor to show his anger in reel & not in real life while others admonished actor’s brazen ways.
“There are many ways of conveying your displeasure over fans infringing your personal space but slapping someone is not the right solution,” some said.
