National Film Awards 2023: Here’s how Kriti Sanon celebrated her best actress honor for Mimi

In the ceremony, Kirti received her award for being the best actress in a featured movie for her exceptional performance as a surrogate mother in her 2021 release Mimi

New Delhi: After getting honoured with the prestigious best actress award at the 69th edition of India’s most prominent film award ceremony National Film Awards (NFA), Bollywood diva Kriti Sanon shared a glimpse of her victory celebrations with her fans.

In the ceremony, Kriti received her award for being the best actress in a featured movie for her exceptional performance as a surrogate mother in her 2021 release Mimi.  She shared the honour with Alia Bhatt who also won the same award for her brilliant performance as Gangubai Kathiawadi in Sanjay Leena Bhansali’s 2021 flick Gangubai.

The names of the award winners were announced during NFA’s press conference on Thursday.

Although both the Joint winners expressed their Joy and congratulated each other for clinching the Best Actress award, Kriti took a step ahead and shared a glimpse of her victory celebrations on social media.

Taking to her Instagram, Kriti dropped a number of lovely pictures in which she is seen enjoying her NFA triumph with her family and friends.

In one of the shared pictures, we see the actress celebrating her victory with her parents who are seen smiling in happiness and Joy.

In another picture, the actress is seen celebrating with Mimi’s producer Dinesh Vijan and actor Varun Sharma. Kriti’s younger sister Nupur is seen giving her a bone-crushing hug along with a kiss in a third picture.

Along with the pictures, Kriti also attached a caption that read, “Surrounded by love and loved ones So much Gratitude in my heart.”

The award-winning actress, who was last seen in Om Raut’s controversial Ramayana Adipurush, will make a comeback on the big screens alongside Tiger Shroff in Vikas Bahl’s Ganpath Part 1

Besides Tiger and Kriti, the film’s stellar cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Faisal Mohammed, and Elli AvrRam. It is all set to hit the theatres on 20 October 2023.
