New Delhi: Renowned South Indian Singer Kalyani Menon has passed away at the age of 70. She was keeping unwell for some time and undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai for paralysis.
Her immensely popular songs include Ritu Bhedakalpana, Jalasayyayil, and Pavanarachezhuthunnu.
Her son Rajeev Menon is a renowned director and cinematographer.
Kalyani started her career as a classical singer in the 1970s and started her career as a film singer.
She entered the film music industry in 1973 and marked her debut with Thoppil Bhasi’s Abala.
She made her Tamil debut in 1979 with Sivaji Ganesan’s Good Family.
