New Delhi: Farhan Akhtar’s return to film direction with ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is still on as the actor-filmmaker went to Rajasthan to scout a location for the film. The film is set to star a powerful trio of Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. Farhan confirmed that the cast of the film is intact despite a long wait.
Farhan shared a picture of him in a desert and credited cinematographer Jay Oza for it. He can be seen with his back to the camera as he stands between the blue sky and yellow sand. Sharing the picture, the filmmaker wrote, “Searching for gold.”

He tagged the lead cast alongside Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, which indicated that the cast of the film has not been changed. The film went on a long hold, while fans even assumed that the project was dropped, but finally, it is expected to go on the floor soon.
It is a special film in many aspects as three females lead a film in Bollywood, a big-scale story of three female friends is rare in Hindi cinema and Priyanka Chopra returns to Bollywood.
‘Jee Le Zaraa’ was announced back in 2021 with a video, but there were no updates thereafter.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be seen in Russo Brothers’ show ‘Citadel’ and Alia Bhatt has ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ and the Hollywood film ‘Heart of Stone’ in the pipeline. Katrina Kaif will next be seen in ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘Merry Christmas’.
Farhan Akhtar has given memorable films to Hindi cinema as a director, including ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Lakshya’ and his last directorial venture ‘Don 2’ was back in 2011.
