New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth is celebrating his 71st birthday on Sunday.
On this special special occasion, Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush took to Twitter and penned a heartfelt wish for the the legendary actor “Happy birthday my thalaiva !! The one and only SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH sir .. love you so much,” Dhanush tweeted.

Dhanush got married to Rajinikanth’s elder daughter Aishwaryaa in 2004. The two are doting parents to sons — Yatra and Linga.
Apart from Dhanush, Film-maker Anirudh Ravichander posted a childhood picture of himself with Rajinikanth and wrote caption, “Happy birthday Thalaiva. We love you before, now and forever.” Actor Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan wrote, “Happy Birthday to one and only thalaivar superstar in the history of cinema forever @rajinikanth Thalaiva.. ever young ever-energetic hero … long live Thalaiva love you #HappyBirthdayRajinikanth.”

Rajinikanth’s fans have also wished ‘Thalaiva’ on social media. They have flooded Twitter and Instagram with birthday wishes in the form of creative posters and videos.
His fans have further planned several celebration activities to be held on the special day across Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the 70-year-old star has featured in South Indian and Bollywood movies and has a humongous fan following.
He has delivered hit films such as ‘Billu’, ‘Muthu’, ‘Baashha’, ‘Sivaji’, and ‘Enthiran’. Rajinikanth was last seen in AR Murugadoss’s ‘Darbar’.
Rajinikanth was last seen in Siva directorial film ‘Annaatthe’, has grossed over ₹200 crores worldwide despite earning average response from the critics.
