New Delhi: The festival of Karwa Chauth is celebrated across India. This year, the day was celebrated on October 24. It is that day when married couples dress up in beautiful attire and observe fast from sunrise to moonrise for the longevity of their life partners.
The festival is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur and our B-town celebrities added a little show to it which lighted up Instagram on Sunday. Netizens were in awe of seeing Instagram being flooded with beautiful pictures of the celebration by the Bollywood celebs.
Like every year, Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita Kapoor hosted a Karwa Chauth party which was attended by Mira Rajput, Rima Jain, and her daughter-in-law amongst others. Shilpa Shetty, this year decided to spend the festival in Alibaug along with her friend Akansha Malhotra. Meanwhile, Yami Gautam also shared some glimpses of her first Karwa Chauth on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Mira Rajput was papped outside Anil Kapoor’s residence. She chose to wear a red sharara for the festivity.
Rima Jain also attended the Karwa Chauth party arranged by Sunita Kapoor. She was accompanied by her daughter-in-law, Anissa Malhotra. Anissa opted for a pick traditional outfit while Rima Jain was seen wearing a red printed kurta.
On the other hand, actress Ishita Dutta and her husband Vatsal Sheth celebrated the festival in style.

The Dhoom actress, Esha Doel took to Instagram to write about why she believes in Karwa Chauth and her belief in celebrating it. Sharing a picture she wrote, “Karwa chauth has a lot more to it than the vermillion on your head or the fast or the tradition; For me, it is the love, the feeling, the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness that I celebrate and cherish. It makes me bask in the feeling of being loved by someone and having someone special in my life to share that love. Although I do follow the ritual of ‘fasting’ and feasting later on ?, I believe fast or no fast, it is all about the ‘saath’ and the celebration of this ‘saath’ that matters the most.”
