These Hollywood celebs stand in solidarity with Ukraine; See inside

With Russian raining missiles all over the country, several people across the globe have stand in solidarity with the war-torn country.

New Delhi: On February 24, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin declared a ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine. Walking straight to the sixth day of the invasion of Ukraine, the country has seen some of the worst consequences of war in history. With Russian raining missiles all over the country, several people across the globe have stand in solidarity with the war-torn country.

Along with the civilians trying to stand with their military friends against ruthless Russian forces, netizens are pounding social media with their best wishes and support towards the affected country. Besides, several Hollywood celebrities including Angelina Jolie and Miley Cyrus have extended their support to Ukraine amidst the war through their social media posts.

Angelina Jolie

The Maleficent actress took to Instagram to share a post standing in solidarity with Ukraine. Her post read, “Like many of you, I’m praying for the people in Ukraine. My focus along with my @refugees colleagues is that everything possible is done to ensure the protection and basic human rights of those displaced, and refugees in the region. We have already seen reports of casualties and people starting to flee their homes to seek safety. It is too soon to know what will happen, but the significance of this moment – for the people of Ukraine, and for the international rule of law – cannot be overstated.”

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle have issued a statement that talked about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same.” Archewell is the humanitarian foundation led by the couple.

Camila Cabello

The singer recently re-posted a post made by IE (goes by the Instagram name – intersectionalenvironmentalist) which is a non-profit organisation about the war in Ukraine. Besides, regularly she shares Instagram stories about the horrors experienced by the country.

The model used her Instagram to share a map of the areas which are under attack in Ukraine. Attaching a broken heart emoji, she wrote, “Praying for Ukraine.”

The singer and the actor took to Twitter and recalled through a post that she shot ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ in Kyiv. Besides, in her post, she praised the kindness of the Ukrainian people. The Hannah Montana girl called “for an immediate end to this violence.”

The actor-singer took to Twitter and wrote, “my heart breaks that this conflict has escalated in such a devastating way. Please take great care and be as safe as you can.”
