New Delhi: AAP lawmaker ND Gupta on Tuesday paid a visit to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and extended greetings.
Sharing the pictures on his Twitter handle, the Rajya Sabha MP said that he was elated to meet the Vice-President, who always led from the front in setting examples & new benchmarks.

Though it was a courtesy visit but the timing of meeting has raised eyebrows. Delhi govt & Centre have not been on best of terms lately and the recent events have only increased the ‘hostility’ between the two.
AAP has taken strong objections to inordinate delay in Delhi Municipal elections and accused the Centre of playing ‘vendetta politics’.
The arrest of Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain further raised hackles of AAP leaders. Yesterday, Kejriwal accused the Modi govt for misusing central agencies to browbeat its ministers and also urged AAP workers to stay prepared for going to jail.
Meanwhile, the term of Venkaiah Naidu is set to expire in August this year, paving the way for election of new Vice President.
