New Delih: After a month long acrimonious environment and name-calling, Rajasthan Chief Minister today met his deputy Sachin Pilot at the Congress Legislature Party meeting. The meeting, which took place at Gehlot’s residence, came a day before the special session of state assembly begins.
However, what hogged the attention of everyone – was meeting of Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. The two leaders, who were exchanging bitter barbs some days ago, shook hands and embraced his each other with a smile. Though, an unease was palpable between the two but the smile all around lightened up the environment.
The much-public fight between the two leaders came to an end after Congress high command agreed to form a panel to look into Pilot’s grievances.
As part of Sachin’s ‘home-coming’ deal, the Congress has also revoked the suspension of MLAs Bhanwarlal Sharma and Vishvendra Singh, who were suspended from the party’s primary membership last month over their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to topple the Congress government in the state.
