After online rape threats to Virat Kohli’s daughter, DCW takes suo-motu cognisance

The police have been asked to provide the sought information by November 8.

New Delhi: Delhi Women Commission (DCW) has taken suo-motu cognisance on reports of online rape threats to Virat Kohli’s 9-month-old daughter after India-Pakistan cricket match in Dubai.

Chairperson of the Women Body,  Swati Maliwal said that way the 9-month-old was threatened on Twitter is “very shameful.”

Taking to Twitter, she urged the Delhi police to share a copy of FIR, details of accused identified & arrested, detailed action taken report by Nov 8.

“If no accused has been arrested, please provide the details of steps taken by Delhu Police to arrest the accused,” read the notice that was sent today.

The trolls targeted Virat after he came out in support of Mohammed Shami.
