As cops stop Cong leaders from stir, Srinivas BV runs away to avoid detention; VIDEO emerges

Social media users are taking a dig at the grand old party Congress and its youth leader Srinivas

New Delhi: After being summoned in the National Herald case, former Congress President and MP from Kerala’s Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi reached the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in the national capital Delhi amid tight security on Monday.

A heavy police force has been deployed in and around the ED office on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road to avoid any ruckus.

On the other hand, Congress workers are furious after Rahul Gandhi was called for questioning by the central agency. Congress veterans and workers are protesting outside the ED office in support of Rahul Gandhi.

Since morning, the party workers were seen raising slogans against the central government by carrying placards. The police have detained several Congress workers as a precaution.

Meanwhile, when the police tried to detain the Youth Congress President Srinivas BV in custody, Srinivas escaped by dodging the police. The video of the incident has also surfaced online.

In the video which has gone viral now, the police try to get Srinivas out of a car to detain him, as he runs away from the spot, dodging the police.

Meanwhile, social media users are taking a dig at the grand old party Congress and its youth leader Srinivas. A Twitterati sarcastically wrote, “And he wanted to become a Gandhi”.

Another user wrote, “It is not called dodging, running away after cheating.”

Earlier, police had detained some senior Congress leaders including Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and KC Venugopal. Deepender S Hooda and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot were also taken into custody and moved to Fatehpur police station.
