New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani has called upon the small and medium enterprises working in the state’s GIDC to beat the world industries in quality, marketing and pricing to create a global brand image of ‘Make in India’ India. In this context, he said that in Gujarat, when there is a business friendly environment for industries and minimal government intervention, it is the clear that in the coming time, all the GIDC will be thriving with all the activities and millions of people will get their livelihood.

CM allots plots to 127 MSME units through computerized draw

In the e-launching program organized by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), the Chief Minister allotted plots to 127 MSME units in Tankara’s Chhatar-Mitana GIDC through computerized draw in a transparent manner from the Chief Minister’s residence at Gandhinagar. He also inaugurated two CETP plants of 40 MLD for the treatment and disposal of polluted wastewater of industries in Dahej and Saykha industrial estates of Bharuch district.

The Chief Minister clearly stated that Gujarat is the best destination for investment for the world’s business entrepreneurs. According to the FDI investment figures released by the central government, Gujarat has seen an increase of 240% in FDI and Gujarat’s unemployment rate is just 3.4 per cent, the lowest in the country. Gujarat is also the number one state in manufacturing.

He said that due to the clear policy of the state government, transparency, commitment of Ease of Doing Business and open environment for businesses, industries from all over the world are motivated to come to Gujarat for investment.

The Chief Minister gave details about financial relief of 3.50 lakh crore out of PM Shri Narendrabhai Modi’s 20 lakh crore Atmnirbhar Bharat package to industrialists connected by video conferencing from various district headquarters of the state to revive MSME units. He added that about 1 .65 lakh units have benefited to the tune of Rs 9,000 crore. Not only that, Gujarat also took initiative to give financial assistance of Rs.1,371 crore to more than 11,000 MSMEs at one click through online payment.

Vijaybhai Rupani also said that Gujarat has always paved the way to the country. Along with the development of industries, the preservation of environment has also been given priority and a strategy has been adopted for proper disposal of industrial wastewater by the CETP plant in industrial estates.

Atmanirbhar Gujarat package helped industries to revive

The Chief Minister said that due to the infrastructural facilities of GIDC and after Corona situation of Rs.458 crore financial assistance under the state governments Atmnirbhar Gujarat package has helped state industries to revive. He expressed proud that about 60,000 industries in 217 GIDCs in the state are providing direct employment to more than 18 lakh people and Gujarat is also increasing its per capita income.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Gujarat would move forward at a faster pace than before and Gujarat will fulfill the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi to turn the Challenges into an opportunity and said. To revive the industry-trade business employment, Based on the recommendations of the Dr.Hasmukh Adhia Committee, State Government had announced Rs.14,000 crore package.

No COVID-19 symptoms found in Gujarat CM

GIDC Chairman Shri Balwantsinh Rajput said in an occasional address that following the positive approach of the state government under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, the industrialists in Gujarat have got an opportunity to develop their business worldwide.

He said that allotment of plots in the industrial estates of the state was done in a transparent manner without any lag or corruption and even the smallest industrialists could easily get land.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over a plot allotment letter to Diesel Safety System India Pragati for the production of Airbag Inflators at Khoraj GIDC. Mr. Prakash Vermora, President of Federation of Industries Association, Mr. Shankarbhai Patel, Former President of Vatva Association and Mr. K. shrivats, an entrepreneur from Ankleshwar thanked the Chief Minister for the pro-active approach of the state government.
