Bar staff beats 30-year-old man to death in Noida; Police to conduct probe

A fight broke out between bar staff and some people who were present there.

New Delhi: A staff of a bar in Noida’s Garden Galleria Mall has beaten a 30-year-old man to death on Monday. He was accompanied by others as they all went to a party. A fight broke out between bar staff and some people who were present there. The police arrested the staff of the bar after the incident and initiated a probe.

“A man was killed last night in Garden Galleria Mall, Noida. Some people got into a fight with bar staff during which one person was severely injured. He was taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead. FIR registered; bar staff taken into custody,” news agency ANI quoted Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Ranvijay Singh as saying.

The incident took place on the night of April 25 around 11 PM at the Lost Lemon restro-bar in Garden Galleria Mall under the Sector 39 police station limits, said Ranvijay Singh. 

Crime

The victim has been identified Brajesh hailing from Bihar. Singh further stated, “He had gone to the restro-bar with his colleagues for a party. Around 11 pm, an argument broke out between these people and the bar staffers over the payment of a bill.”

The argument quickly escalated into a fight in which Brajesh received serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital. Later, he succumbed to injuries.

Singh said that the police have reviewed the CCTV footage where eight people have been identified. An FIR has been registered and more than a dozen employees of the restro-bar have been into police custody. No arrest has yet been done.
