‘Barrage of questions during pandemic, mum on vaccine launch’: Rahul derided on Twitter

Coronavirus Vaccination against deadly virus has begun, the nation is elated and excited but Rahul Gandhi has chosen to remain mum. This has led to Twitterrati taking jibe at the Congress leader.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi kick-started the world’s biggest Covid-19 vaccination drive in the country on Saturday.

“India is administering vaccines to 3 crore people in the first phase. In the second phase, we will take this number to 30 crore,” PM Modi said emphasizing that such massive scale of vaccination has never taken place before in history.

There is much euphoria and jubilation over the vaccination drive but what has caught attention of Twitterrati is the silence of Rahul Gandhi on Twitter.

Congress leader was vocal and extremely critical of Modi government’s handling of the pandemic and repeatedly blamed it for ‘messing up’ the economy. Lashing out at the Centre, he raised volley of questions with regard to PMCares Fund and India’s ‘delayed’ vaccination campaign.

However, when the vaccination against deadly virus has begun, the nation is elated and excited but Rahul Gandhi has chosen to remain mum. He has refrained from even congratulating the scientists on achieving this rare feat of developing indigenous vaccine.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya posted a screeshot of his previous tweets targeting the Modi government when the nation was battling pandemic.

Many Twitter users slammed the Congress leader for resorting to ‘politics of opportunism’ even during a national crisis.
