BJP women MPs complain to Speaker over ‘indecent gesture’ by Rahul Gandhi

The women lawmakers from BJP, in their complaint, expressed strong reservations over Rahul’s abhorrent signal and demanded stern action against the Congress MP.

New Delhi: Moments after the bitter face-off in Lok Sabha over the No-Confidence Motion, the women lawmakers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) moved a complaint to the House Speaker on Wednesday and complained about alleged indecent gesture by Rahul Gandhi.

The women lawmakers from BJP, in their complaint, expressed strong reservations over Rahul’s abhorrent signal and demanded stern action against the Congress MP.

Leveling sensational charge, the women complainant alleged that the Congress MP waved ‘flying kisses’ after finishing his speech on the No-Confidence Motion.

One of the complainant said that Rahul thought that he gave an impressive speech and while leaving the Parliament, he threw flying kisses at the women MPs.

Earlier, Union Minister Smriti Irani in his address also took objection to Rahul’s ‘abusive’ behavior in the house and termed it unprecedented in the history of Parliament.

Irani said that the Congress MP who spoke just before him behaved very inappropriately and said she was startled & stunned over former’s behavior & antics.

“Only a misogynistic man can gesture a flying kiss to female parliamentarians. It shows the khandhan he comes from, and what his family and party feel about women,” Smriti Irani said without naming Rahul.

BJP lawmakers have reportedly complained that Rahul made inappropriate gestures specificially at the women MPs, while leaving the House. They also tore into the Congress leader and questioned party’s double stadards, asking “how can party take moral high ground on Manipur when its top leader is misbehaveing with women lawmakers”.
