New Delhi: Chaos erupted at Shaheen bagh when a burqa-clad woman was whisked away this morning by Delhi police. Social media handles claimed the chaos was triggered when a group of protesters discovered a woman in a burqa taking a video on her mobile phone.

The woman reporter was found in the middle of a group of agitated women who raised a hue and cry over her disguising herself to allegedly “misreport” on the protest.

This led to a commotion and she was caught by several women. Later, police came to the protest site and took her away.

Delhi Police has said they are questioning Gunja Kapoor.

Shaheen Bagh is at the centre of several controversies over the past several weeks. Women of Shaheen Bagh have been protesting for over 50 days against the Citizenship Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR).
