New Delhi: In a major security scare, an abandoned vehicle with gelatin sticks was found near business tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s residence – Antili in Mumbai.
The suspicious black Scorpio car was found on one side of the road, near Mukesh Ambani’s residence in the financial capital of the country.
The recovery of the suspicious vehicle in high-security zone sent the security agencies into a tizzy. Top officials from Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) also reached the spot. Bomb squad and police teams were also rushed to the site. A probe is underway.
The cops had cordoned off the area and no pedestrians were allowed to pass through that route.
“A Scorpio van with some gelatin was found at some distance from Mukesh Ambani’s home in Mumbai. The Mumbai Crime Branch is conducting an investigation into it. The truth will come out,” Mr Deshmukh said.
“20 gelatin sticks have been recovered from the vehicle,” reports said.

“Police was alerted. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team and other Police teams reached the spot immediately, examined the vehicle and found some explosive material Gelatin inside. It is not an assembled explosive device. Further investigation is going on,” a police statement read.
The Maharashtra government said it was in touch with the police commissioner and will tighten the security of the Ambani family’s if the need arises.
