CDS Gen Bipin Rawat offers prayers at Gorakhnath temple, CM Yogi accompanies him

General Bipin Rawat offered prayers at Gorakhnath temple while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied him for a small tour of the temple premises.

New Delhi: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat on Thursday paid a visit to the iconic Guru Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur.

General Bipin Rawat offered prayers at Gorakhnath temple while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied him for a small tour of the temple premises.

The former Chief of Army Staff was given a warm welcome at the temple and also handed over a silver coin with Shri Ram Janambhoomi inscribed on it.

Earlier in the day, CDS General Rawat arrived at Gorakhpur air force station via a special flight. He is on a two-day visit to the city. Before heading to Gorakhnath temple, he reviewed the preparedness and functioning of the GRD premises.

CDS Rawat to be chief guest at Education council’s ceremony

Yogi Adityanath is on a three-day visit to Gorakhpur, his erstwhile Lok Sabha constituency, where a slew of programmes are planned over next few days.

CM Yogi will inaugurate newly built Udyog Bhawan and will also distribute appointment letters to newly appointed teachers on December 5.

CDS Bipin Rawat , Gorakhnath temple - 1CM Yogi will also take part in the Foundation Week of Maharana Pratap Education Council, which is run by Gorakhnath temple. CDS General Rawat will be the chief guest at the inauguration of the Foundation week.
