New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Monday gave detailed instructions to top officials to review developmental works of all departments and explore ways and means to expedite the pending projects.

Underlining the need for time-bound delivery of projects, CM Yogi directed officials to pay heed to public interest schemes while ensuring that common people doesn’t feel victimized or harassed.

The Chief Minister said the functioning of departments needs to be vastly improved at many levels. He also issued instructions to officials to review status of the projects at various levels.

The Chief Minister was reviewing various departments at a high-level meeting convened at his government residence on Monday. In the review meeting, CM Yogi said effective and hassle free system of paddy purchasing should be ensured at all procurement centres.

Effective procurement should be ensured, so that farmers get the benefit of MSP on time, he stated. He also directed concerned officials that all paddy purchasing centers of the state should be reviewed and cautioned them that some disruptive and anti-development elements were trying to disturb the smooth operation of the procurement process.

Reviewing Ease of Doing Business for industrial investment, the Chief Minister called for the need to deploy qualified and hard-working officers in Invest UP, UPCIDA and Development Authorities.

Basic Education Department

CM Yogi instructed officials to complete inter-district transfer of teachers in the Basic Education Department at the earliest and said that all roadblocks should be removed with extra effort.

In the meeting, CM Yogi said that the Smart City and Amrut Yojana will be reviewed soon along with Union Urban Development Minister.

“These should be monitored continuously and officers should prioritise these projects and schemes,” CM Yogi said.

Reforms in Medical Institutions

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also instructed officials to improve system in all government medical institutions. He said that process of Covid vaccination is expected to start soon and there must not be any negligence in treatment of patients suffering from other diseases.

CM also said that the OPD medical care should be made smooth in all government medical institutions of the state. He urged everyone to maintain abundant care in vigilance during Covid-19 times.

CM said that the guidelines of the government regarding Covid-19 should be ensured at all costs. Effective arrangements should be maintained continuously regarding the prevention and treatment of Covid-19.

Priority to construction of proposed universities

CM Yogi directed officials to start construction of proposed state universities in Saharanpur, Aligarh and Azamgarh and Atal Bihari Bajpai Medical University, Lucknow soon.

CM also said that the establishment of these institutions is a priority of the government and ordered for their DPR soon.

“These projects are of public importance and hence no delay should be done in their roll out,” CM Yogi said.

“Every penny of the government money should be accounted for. There should not be a single incident of fake billing. There should be no mercy for any misconduct or financial bungling and stringent action should be initiated if there is any,” he said.
