CM Yogi’s visionary policies reduce unemployment rate to 2.9 percent in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is followed by Tamil Nadu with an unemployment rate of 3.2 percent, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh with 5.8 percent each, West Bengal with 6.2 percent and Punjab with 7.2 percent.

Lucknow: In a major achievement, Uttar Pradesh has recorded the lowest unemployment rate of 2.9 percent as per the latest survey released by the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). UP has outclassed states like Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Uttar Pradesh is followed by Tamil Nadu with an unemployment rate of 3.2 percent, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh with 5.8 percent each, West Bengal with 6.2 percent and Punjab with 7.2 percent. CMIE, the organisation monitoring unemployment and business activities in the country, has revealed that Rajasthan (28.8 percent), Jharkhand (14.2 percent) and Delhi (11.2 percent) are the worst-hit states in terms of unemployment.

According to the monthly data of CMIE, the unemployment rate in Uttar Pradesh has reduced to 2.9 percent in April 2022, from 4.4 percent in March this year. Notably, the Uttar Pradesh government, in its previous rule between 2017 and 2022, set a record of providing over five lakh government jobs to the youth of the state.
