Cong MLA Arif Masood booked for organising anti-France protests, his property demolished (VIDEO)

Arif Masood has been booked on complaint of Dharma Sanskriti Samiti’s office bearer Deepak Raghuvanshi. Masood had allegedly attacked the Central and State governments, calling them ‘Hinduwadi’ and alleged them of supporting the French government.

New Delhi: Congress MLA Arif Masood, who organised protests in Bhopal against French President Emmanuel Macron’s condemnation of Islamic terror, has been booked for hurting religious sentiments.

An FIR has been lodged against him and others under Section 153 at Talaiya Police Station for organising protest at city’s Iqbal ground.

The FIR has been lodged on the complaint by Dharma Sanskriti Samiti’s office bearer Deepak Raghuvanshi. Masood had allegedly attacked the Central and State governments, calling them ‘Hinduwadi’ and alleged them of supporting the French government.

He had also reportedly burnt the effigy of France’s President and the country’s flag.


Bhopal IG Upendra Jain told media that a non-bailable warrant has also been issued against him and 6 others under Section 153A of IPC.”

The Bhopal administration on Thursday demolished Congress leader Arif Masood’s illegally constructed building.

AK Sahani, Assistant Engineer, Building Permission Section told media, “The honourable district court had, in 2005, issued a stay on the main building here. The construction was done on 12,000 square feet without the permission of the municipal corporation.”
