New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi on Tuesday donated Rs 25,000 to Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund).
Heeraben Modi made the contribution of Rs 25,000 from her personal savings to PM CARES fund to help in the fight against COVID-19.
On March 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set up the PM CARES Fund and appealed to all countrymen to show their support for the cause.
People from all walks of life expressed their desire to donate to India’s war against COVID-19.
Respecting that spirit, the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund has been constituted. This will go a long way in creating a healthier India.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country stands at 1,251. (ANI)
