New Delhi: Amid resurgence of the Coronavirus in Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab, Uttar Pradesh chief minister has sounded a note of caution and urged the state administration to not let the guard down in battle against the pandemic.

CM Yogi has stressed on focussed testing of Covid-19 and has said that testing work has an important role in breaking the Corona infection chain.

Keeping this in mind, he added, more and more tests should be done. He also said that it should be ensured that there are no less than 1.25 lakh tests conducted per day in the state.

The Chief Minister made these observations while reviewing the unlock system at a high-level meeting at his official residence on Friday. He further said that extra vigilance should be taken in the state in view of the increase in Corona cases in some states.

In Uttar Pradesh, he stressed, arrangements should be made to ensure contact tracing and quarantine of people coming from outside states. The Chief Minister also said that an effective system should be maintained in relation to the prevention and treatment of Corona.

Integrated Command and Control Centre established in the districts should be actively operated, he underlined while adding that people should be constantly made aware about the rescue from Corona.
