Covid-19 lockdown: BJP MLA Arvind Limbavali shows the way; delivers grains, grocery items to poor

New Delhi: Amid the nationwide lockdown over Coronavirus pandemic, the whole country is packed inside their houses to contain the spread of Covid-19.

Times are tough but so are some committed leaders, who are leading by example. Arvind Limbavali, the BJP MLA from Karnataka is setting an example of exemplary public service by reaching out to poor and downtrodden in his constituency.

Recently, the BJP national president J P Nadda made an appeal to party leaders and workers to come forward and help the poor and needy. Before this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also urged countrymen to support 9 poor families on the occasion of Navratri.

Daily Food items are being distributed to poor at their homes. Families belonging to economically backward classes in Sadaramangala are being supplied groceries to their houses.

Arvind Limbavali has set up a team of officials and volunteers who are working overtime to supply essential food items to the poor and needy. They are supplying groceries and food items and masks to families belonging to the economically backward classes who have remained in their houses in his constituency.

Daily food items, including 5 kg rice, 1 kg each of oil, gram and onions, masala ingredients and other groceries will be provided to 11,000 families once a week for up to three weeks.

As many as 11,000 families belonging to economically backward class at Varthur, Nallurahalli, Sadarmangala, Kundalahalli of my constituency will be supplied 5 kg rice, 1 kg each of oil, toordal, potato and onions, masala ingredients and other groceries.


One family will be supplied the above mentioned things once a week for next three weeks. Today we have started in 5 wards and we will cover all 14 wards by tomorrow. By Thursday, the second round of distribution to 11,000 families will be done and again 14 wards will be covered and also we will distribute to orphanages in the constituency.

“I have donated for the supply and funds will be collected with the help of the local party leaders and donors and well wishers,” said the BJP MLA from Karnataka.
