Devendra Fadnavis, in-charge of BJP’s poll campaign in Bihar, tests positive for Covid-19

“I have been working every single day since the lockdown but now it seems that God wants me to stop for a while and take a break! I have tested Covid-19 positive and in isolation. Taking all medication & treatment as per the advice of the doctors,” Fadnavis wrote.

New Delhi: Devendra Fadnavis, who is supervising the BJP’s poll campaign for Bihar Assembly elections, has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Former Maha CM took to Twitter to announce the news and informed that he has gone into isolation. The BJP leader is currently under medication and treatment as per the advice of the doctors.

“I have been working every single day since the lockdown but now it seems that God wants me to stop for a while and take a break! I have tested Covid-19 positive and in isolation. Taking all medication & treatment as per the advice of the doctors,” Fadnavis wrote.

Fadnavis also made an appeal to those who came in contact with him recently to get tested for the virus as well.

“Those who have come in contact with me are advised to get covid19 tests done. Take care, everyone!,” he said.


Last month, Devendra Fadnavis was appointed as BJP in charge for Bihar Assembly polls, the first elections being held in the backdrop of novel coronavirus pandemic.

The three-phase elections to 243-member Bihar will begin on November 28 and results will be declared on November 10.
