New Delhi: In the heat of electioneering in West Bengal, state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh made a shocking remark against incumbent CM and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, which appear to be in bad taste.
During a campaign in Purulia on Tuesday, BJP Bengal President Dilip Ghosh said: “If Mamata Banerjee wants to show her legs, she should wear a pair of bermudas.”
As expected, Dilip Ghosh’s comments backfired and several TMC leaders came attacking him for deplorable remarks against Didi.

At the Purulia rally, Dilip Ghosh reportedly said: “People don’t want to see her face, that’s why she’s showing her broken leg… What kind of saree is she wearing, which covers one leg and shows the other? If you want to put out your leg, why saree, wear a bermuda, it can be seen.”

He was slammed by Trinamool leaders, with Mahua Moitra calling him a “pervert”.
