New Delhi: People centric decision has been taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani in the presence of Ahmedabad Mayor Smt. Bijalben Patel, Standing Committee Chairman Mr.Amulbhai Bhatt, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary to Urban Development Mr. MukeshPuri as well Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. M. K. Das.
Resolving the pending questions of tenants of shops, godowns, retail lands and other property Mr. Rupani announced that such tenants will now be given legal long-term ownerships on lease in Ahmedabad.
Such Properties in all the zones of Ahmedabad have been categorized in three categories. Accordingly, there are approximately 2734 properties on rent or annual/monthly token construction and no premium .There are approx. 147 cases of land without construction and with premium.
Mr. Rupani has taken this sensible decision in the wider interest of the people of Lati Bazar including such families, property holders as well as families of such shopkeepers.
This decision taken by CM has opened the gates for legal long-term ownership lease for such middle class families.
The CM also instructed in the meeting to take necessary and appropriate action in this direction as per the rules.
