New Delhi: In a major jolt to Congress, Gujarat Youth Congress president Vishwanathsinh Vaghela submitted his resignation from his post on Sunday. The resignation came just a day ahead of Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state. Earlier, in the day Wayanad MP drew criticism over his remark about the price rise in the country on Twitter. Hitting at the BJP government in a rally named 'Mehangai Par Halla Boll in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi mistakenly said ‘Atta is at Rs 22 per litre’ in the country. Reacting to the development, Gujarat BJP spokesperson Rutvij Patel wrote on Twitter, ''Tomorrow Rahul Gandhi is coming to Gujarat for 'Join Congress Campaign'. But 'Quit Congress campaign' is going on in Gujarat.'' His resignation is the second setback for Congress after Ghulam Nabi Azad.
