New Delhi: Sonali Phogat, the Haryana BJP leader was arrested on Wednesday for thrashing a government servant on duty. Along with Phogat, 5 other accused were also arrested and produced in court today.
Reports said the arrogant ruling party leader was given bail by court on a bond of Rs 20,000/.
The power-drunk BJP leader was caught on camera beating and thrashing an agricultural market committee official Sultan Singh in Balsamand area of Hisar.
Phogat’s video went viral
In the video clip, Sonali Phogat was seen making obscene remarks and beating the government servant with her slippers. The video had gone viral and triggered much outrage among locals and netizens.
The market official later lodged a complaint the ruling party leader.

As the incident took place under the nose of policemen, the Haryana Police also drew intense flak for its callous and indifferent behavior.
The 40-year-old leader is also a TikTok star and contested elections on BJP ticket from Adampur seat in Hisar.
