New Delhi: The brutal violation of a 19-year-old girl in Hathras and her death a fortnight later in Delhi, has ignited wave of anger across the nation. Since beginning, there were conflicting claims by family and counter-claims by UP police about the throat being cut during violent assault on the girl. Sadly, enough attention was not paid on girl’s treatment resulting in her death.
However, a top cop of UP Police said yesterday that there was no gangrape and the girl died to neck injury. He cited post-mortem and Forensic report as the evidence. He also warned of strict against those spreading fake information about the case.
Meanwhile, an audio apparently of the conversation between a TV reporter and victim’s brother Sandeep has gone viral where she could be heard repeatedly asking him to record a ‘confession video’ of the father, saying that they are under pressure from the administration.
In the audio tape accessed by OpIndia, the TV reporter could be heard coaxing victim’s brother about a specific statement. However, the latter remains non-committal on his statement and rather sounds hesitant. But, the reporters keeps on persuading him.
According to OpIndia audio tape, scribe says, “Sandeep, please do one thing for me. And I promise that I will not move from here until your family has received justice… Sandeep, make a video of your father where he says, ‘Yes, there was a lot of pressure on me to issue a statement that I am satisfied.. I want investigation because my daughter has died. And we were not even allowed to see her and she was buried.’”
“It will only take five minutes. Quickly make the video and sent it to me only,” the online portal reports, quoting her.
During their conversations, she also tries to ‘incite’ Sandeep against the SIT that has been formed, however, the brother makes it clear that the SIT was asking them relevant questions and they had left since then, the online portal reported.
