I hope investigation in SSR’s case won’t go unresolved like Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s case: Sharad Pawar

Pawar assured that the Maha Aghadi government in Maharashtra will respect the apex court order and fully cooperate with the CBI in the probe process.

New Delhi: A day after Supreme Court ordered a CBI investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput case, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday assured of full cooperation from the Maharashtra government, and hoped the investigation will not be carried on as it was done in Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s murder case.

Pawar assured that the Maha Aghadi government in Maharashtra will respect the apex court order and fully cooperate with the CBI in the probe process.

In an apparent dig at the CBI, the NCP supremo hoped that the investigation in SSR “unnatural death” ends with a logical conclusion and not like Dabholkar’s murder case, which still remains unsolved.

“I am sure the Maharashtra Govt will respect the judgement of the Supreme Court to handover Sushant Singh Rajput’s case to the CBI and fully cooperate in the investigation process,” Pawar tweeted.

“I hope the investigation will not be carried on, as was done with Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s murder case also under investigation by the #CBI which commenced in 2014 and remains unresolved,” the NCL leader’s another tweet read.

Dabholkar, an anti-superstition activist, was shot dead on August 20, 2013, in Pune.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had lodged a case against Rhea Chakraborty and her parents Indrajit Chakraborty and Sandhya Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakraborty, and common friends Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi.
