I-T sleuths recover Rs 50 crore cash in Odisha & Jharkhand raids, notes still being counted

New Delhi: The Income Tax (I-T) department have stumbled upon a huge cash mound during its raids at multiple places in Odisha & Jharkhand. According to officials concerned, the I-T sleuths have recovered a whopping cash pile up of Rs 50 crore in its searches at multiple locations spread across two states.

The I-T sleuths recovered the huge cache of currency while conducting raids at Boudh Distilleries Private Limited’s multiple offices in 2 states.

As per reports, the searches are still underway at Bolangir & Sambalpur in Odisha and Ranchi & Lohardaga in Jharkhand.

Rs 50 crores cash was counted till yesterday only. And, there are many more to be counted.

The cash counting machine developed glitches and is currently being repaired.
