The Image of Chinese soldier’s grave is viral on social media. It is a proof that Chinese PLA troops suffered losses in Galwan valley clash.

New Delhi: A picture of a Chinese PLA soldier’s grave is going viral on social media. It assumes significance because of the fact that it comes as the first piece of evidence of Chinese casualty in Galwan valley clash with the Indian soldiers. The photo was first shared on Chinese social media platform Weibo and then spread out to Indian twitter handles.

The image showing the tombstone of PLA solider identifies him as 19-year-old Chen Xiangrong.

Written in mandarin, the epitaph reads, “Tomb of Chen Xiangro. Soldier of the 69316 troops, from Pingnan, Fujian who sacrificed his life in the struggle against India’s border troops in June 2020 and was posthumously remembered by the Central Military Commission.”

Pic proves China suffered losses in Galwan clash

Erected on August 5, 2020, in the Southern Xinjiang Military Region, the tombstone also says that the soldier who was KIA was born in December 2001 and was just 19 years old.

The image was reportedly shared on a Chinese military forum.

Galwan valley, Ladakh

The Chinese PLA troops and Indian soldiers had engaged in a bloody face in Galwan valley on June 15 over former’s misadventures and alleged transgression in the area.

At least 20 Indian soldier including Bihar Infantry regiment Colonel B Santosh Babu, had died in the violent face-off in Eastern Ladakh while as per Indian Army sources, 43 Chinese troops had lost lives in the face-off that involved fight with clubs and iron roads.

However, China has neither spoken about casualty on its side nor confirmed the number of death toll on its side.
But, this picture of Chinese soldier’s tombstone proves that Chinese side also suffered losses in Galwan clash, though China continues to live in denial.
