New Delhi: Amid the Coronavirus lockdown, shocking pictures and footage have emerged from West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas.
Locals clashed with the police alleging improper distribution of ration material. Police alleged that locals blocked the roads and when they tried to disperse the gathering, the latter came under violent attack.

423 Corona cases in Bengal, 15 dead
31 new coronavirus cases were reported on Apr 22 in Bengal, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This brings the total reported cases of coronavirus in Bengal to 423. Among the total people infected as on date, 73 have recovered and 15 have passed away.
West Bengal apparently hasn’t been on good terms with the Centre over the handling of COVID-19 crisis in the state. The political slugfest between West Bengal CM and Centre intensified further today, following the visit of an inter-ministerial central team (IMCT) to the state to take stock of the situation.
