In Kashmir, students back to campus as colleges reopen after a gap of 11 months (PICs)

In Jammu and Kashmir, educational institutions are being opened in a phased manner and the SOP’s issued by the Union Territory administration are being strictly followed.

New Delhi: After a gap of almost 11 months, universities and colleges have re-opened in Kashmir valley. These educational institutions were shut down on March 11 as Covid-19 cases witnessed strong surge.

These institutions are being opened in a phased manner and the SOP’s issued by the Union Territory administration are being strictly followed.

With the pandemic calming down, the Education department on January 28 announced to open institutions in the respective divisions.

A Kashmir University official said the classes have started from today, in line with the necessary guidelines related to Covid-19.

He said that the University is being reopened in a phased manner so that all the SOPs are strictly followed.

The colleges saw staggered attendance at many institutions.
