
In MP, goons manhandle cops, hold them hostage for 2 hours; shocking pics emerge
New Delhi: In a shocking and outrageous incident, a group of goons assaulted policemen where they are trying to explain the importance of social distancing.
In Madhya Pradesh’s Rampuria village, a liquor shop was open despite umbrella ban on them during the lockdown. Few villagers called up the police, latter reached the spot and found many people standing in groups.

Before cracking down on the liquor shop, police tried to teach them about social distancing. But, this left them infuriated. They roughed up the policemen on duty and were even seen attacking the cops with rods.
Goons run amok, nation outraged
For more than 2 hours the police team was held hostage in the village. Later, more police personnel from the Khujner police station arrived at the scene and initiated talks with the villagers. It was only then that the policemen were allowed to go.
A few present at the spot alleged that police started beating them in name of social distancing.
However, what happened at the liquor shop was flagrant violation of the lockdown norms and the miscreants must be taken to task for playing with lives of others.
