India’s youngest mayor Arya Rajendran to marry youngest Kerala MLA KM Sachin Dev

Arya Rajendran, India’s youngest Mayor in India, has announced that she has decided to get marry youngest MLA in the current Kerala Assembly, KM Sachin Dev.

New Delhi: Arya Rajendran, who is famous as India’s youngest Mayor in India, has announced that she has decided to get married. However, her decision to marry is grabbing the headlines because she chose a special person. Rajendran will marry the youngest MLA in the current Kerala Assembly,  KM Sachin Dev.

Both belong to CPI(M)

Arya Rajendran became the mayor after winning the election in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation at the age of 21. In December 2020, she fought the election under the banner of the CPM-led LDF, winning 52 wards out of the total 100 wards in the body.

KM Sachin Dev was also elected as an MLA on a CPM ticket in 2021. He won the election from Balussery (SC) constituency. He won the election over a margin of 20,000 votes.

Dev holds a degree in English from the Government Arts and Science College, Kozhikode, and a law degree from the Government Law College, Kozhikode. In the Government Arts and Science College, he was the student union chairman.

On the other hand, both have connections as they work for the Students’ Federation of India. Dev is currently the state secretary of the SFI while Arya is a state committee member of the Federation. Moreover, Arya is also the state president of the Bala Sangham.

Earlier, she was associated with the children’s unit of the left.

Wedding date to be announced soon

On the announcement of the date of marriage, Arya said the decision will be made public after the consultations of family members and the party.

Arya added, ”We have been good friends. We both belong to a similar political ideology and we have worked alongside each other in the SFI. We arrived at the decision and then informed our families. Since both of us are elected public representatives, we informed the party as well as our families to ensure there are no rumours or misinformation.”
