New Delhi: A blithesome moment from the otherwise solemn and chaotic proceeding of the Upper House of the Parliament came in light on Monday.
When Malayalam actor and nominated Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi stood up to address the house, he appeared in a new bearded look.
On noticing some change, Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu who was left confused with Gopi’s snowy white beard over black mustaches and felt compelled to ask him in Hindi, “Mask hain? beard hain? (Is it a mask or a beard?)”
Naidu’s question asked out of curiosity left the parliamentarians in splits, while Suresh Gopi explained that it was his new look for his upcoming film.

Convinced with his answer, the speaker asked Gopi to further continue with his address.
